Adult Respite House

• 3 adults at a time can be cared for at the Adult Respite House
• Care is offered to people with severe or multiple disabilities
• 40 to 45 families use the respite house each year
• Plans are underway to expand the service from the current 3 places to 6 or 7, as demand is far in excess of the respite currently available

Children's Respite Houses

• One North and one South of the River
• Both offer care to up to six children at a time
• Both provide a break to between 60 and 70 families each year
• Both cost over $0.5M to run each year

Family Care Service
Respite care in the family home for:

• infants
• school-aged children
• adults
• Provides families with regular breaks from their caring role

Weekends Away

• Regular weekends away for small groups of adolescents and adults who need 1 to 1 care
  
• An opportunity to build friendships, and social skills.
• Provides regular weekend respite to 30 families each year
