Graeme Mander (Board Chair)

Graeme has been a Principal in Catholic schools for the past 20 years. He has accumulated a wealth of educational experience over the past 40 years in both the independent Catholic and public systems.

Graeme was a Principal in Catholic schools for over 20 years. He has accumulated a wealth of educational experience over the past 40 years in both the independent Catholic and public systems. He holds qualifications in educational leadership and administration to Master’s degree level.

Prior to joining the Identitywa Board, Graeme served on the Board of Midway Community Care, an organisation supporting people with intellectual disability and their families in the Peel Region. Graeme and his wife Margaret have six adult children and ten grandchildren.  Graeme is an avid reader, keen gardener and enjoys travel.

Patrick Banks

Patrick is a Financial Controller operating in the Food Service Industry.  Previously, he was an accountant in public practice with a focus on External Audit and Small Business Tax Practices.  Patrick holds qualifications in Finance and Psychology and will complete his AICD course in February 2023.  Before joining the Identitywa Board, he also worked as a support worker across various organisations all of which had the collective goal of empowering, educating, and supporting people living with disability.

Recently married, Patrick enjoys hiking with his wife and golfing as often as possible.  He also volunteers with the Red Cross, supporting patients in palliative care by providing companionship.

Nicole Barnao

Nicole works in the property sector as an advisor and project manager, and has over 20 years of professional experience working in property, financial and consulting services; for listed, private and not-for-profit businesses.

She has spent much of her working life leading cross-functional teams to innovate, drive change and deliver on projects, during both strong and challenging phases of the economic cycle.

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science (University of Western Australia), a Masters in Business Administration (Australian Graduate School of Management) and is a licensed sales representative.  She has held various roles in the community sector, loves going on holidays with her husband and three children, and watches live sport when she can (particularly those played by her kids!).

Dr Tony Curry

Tony was appointed to the Board of Identitywa in July 2014. Prior to joining the CEOWA, Tony was Principal at Mercy College (Koondoola) for ten years and Our Lady of Grace School (North Beach) ...

Tony was appointed to a senior executive position at the Catholic Education Office of Western Australia (CEOWA) in January 2014 and is currently Director Leadership & Employee Services.  Prior to joining the CEOWA, Tony held principalships and teaching positions in a number of metropolitan and regional, primary Catholic schools.

Tony holds formal education qualifications to doctorate level in education, religious education and administration.  In terms of governance, Tony has worked over the past twenty years on a number of school boards and at a senior Board level for Ruah (2019 – current), the Disability Services Commission of Western Australia (2007 – 2012), the Edmund Rice Centre (Mirrabooka) (2002 – 2007), and the Perth Archdiocesan Catholic Social Justice Council (1996 – 2001).

Jenny Drury

Jenny is the Human Resources and Administration manager for Inclusion WA, a community service organisation.

Jenny was a teacher for a number of years before she and her husband moved to live and work in the Pilbara area of WA.

The family moved to Perth in the late 80’s after their younger son, Matthew was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis.  Matt has been supported by Identitywa for a number of years and shares his home with three young women.

For the past 18 years, Jenny has worked with Inclusion WA, mainly in the areas of administration and human resources.

Nathan Ebbs

Appointed 1 September 2009

Nathan is Managing Principal of commercial law firm, Bennett + Co. He graduated from The University of Notre Dame Australia in December 2004 with a Bachelor of Laws degree.

Nathan has been the Managing Principal of Bennett – Litigation and Commercial Law since October 2016 and has oversight over all aspects of the practice.

 

He practices in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution section of the firm and is recognised by Doyle’s Guide as one of Western Australia’s Leading Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution Lawyers.  He is also included in the 2021 and 2022 edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia for the area of litigation.

Nathan has been a board member of Identitywa since 2009 and was a council member of the Law Society of Western Australia for six years (2014 – 2017 and 2019 – 2020).

John Fitzgerald

John is currently an independent consultant with over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical research and community service sectors.

John is currently an independent consultant with over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical research and community service sectors.  He was formerly the Chief Executive of Catholic Homes and Chief Operating Officer of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.  John also held the position of Australasian Marketing Director for a multinational pharmaceutical company, as well as senior management roles in the local biotechnology industry.

John holds a Bachelor of Science degree with first class Honours and a Masters of Business Administration degree, both from the University of Western Australia.  In addition to the Identitywa Board, John has previously been a Director of two biomedical companies.

Mimli joined the Identitywa Board in July 2022 as Treasurer.

She is the Financial Controller of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited and a member of CPA Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mimli brings a diversity of experience to Identitywa gained in senior leadership roles in financial management and reporting, treasury, audit, and assurance. Her key strengths lie in financial strategy formulation, especially within challenging environments, collaborative decision-making spanning the breadth of the organisation, technical research, and compliance and investment management.

Mimli is a passionate leader, a compassionate human being, and a proud member of the organisations she serves.

Phil Scott

Appointed 1 May 2011

Phil’s son Timothy has been supported by Identitywa for a number of years. He currently lives with three other young men in an Identitywa shared house in one of Perth's southern suburbs.

Phil graduated as a Civil Engineer from The University of Western Australia in 1975 and before retiring in 2014 worked as a consultant in the oil and gas industry.

He had previously held senior technical and managerial positions in drilling and production engineering with Australian and international companies before specialising in performance management, focusing on process, systems and human factors.

Phil’s son Timothy is supported by Identitywa and currently lives with three others in a shared home in Willagee.

Terry Wilson

Appointed 1 November 2008

Terry is currently the Chief Operations Officer for the Archdiocese of Perth, a role he commenced in 2007.

Terry was Assistant Director of the Catholic Education Office of Western Australia for 11 years before being appointed the Chief Operations Officer for the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth in 2007. He is currently the Vicar for Social Outreach for the Archdiocese.

Terry has a strong interest in the Catholic Church’s teachings in social justice.

He was involved in Catholic education for 34 years as a teacher and administrator in secondary schools and as a consultant and industrial advocate in Catholic Education offices and other Church organisations.
