Volunteering with Identitywa is an opportunity to help others.
One of the important services Identitywa offers is to support families and carers to have regular, planned breaks from their caring role. We invite volunteers to assist our support workers working in our children’s houses located in Nollamara (north) and Riverton (south).
As a volunteer at Identitywa you will use your creative and innovative approach to life, to assist staff in providing a safe, caring and supportive environment where children have the chance to make new friends and have lots of fun.
This is a wonderful opportunity to use and further develop skills and an understanding of working with children with disability. Flexibility and times can vary depending on the individual. You may commit to as little or as much time as you like. Working times are negotiated with the House Senior or Team Leader; however, preferred times are between 9am and 8pm any day of the week.
We provide training via our House inductions and orientations and, of course, on the job. Whilst this is a voluntary position, we do cover all activity expenses such as a National Police Check and Working With Children
Check . We are happy to assist in completing your Department of Child Protection Record Check .
