“As a DSW, my engagement with individuals with disability gives me great satisfaction in terms of the difference I bring into their lives. I enjoy participating in their aspirations.”  Disability Support Worker

“I feel the role I play in supporting people with disabilities encourages and enables individuals to live a life that has meaning and purpose, is inclusive and offers choices. I love my job!”  Family Support worker

Each year, Identitywa hosts a survey that captures invaluable feedback from workers across all areas of the organisation.

Their opinions on a range of critical areas can guide discussions and systematic improvements, in addition to affirming successfully implemented strategies.

CEO, Marina Re, said the survey results are a great insight into our workers’ feelings about Identitywa and the difference it is making in the lives of people with disability and their families.

“Our workers’ opinions about their working environment, colleagues, management, organisation processes, and job role are very important to us and integral to our strategic planning,” said Marina

“It’s pleasing to see significant improvements in almost all areas.”

These included:

  • 93% of all disability workers believe their role is valuable in supporting the lives of people with disability
  • Over 90% say their work gives them a feeling of personal accomplishment
  • 88% believe Identitywa is dedicated to diversity and inclusiveness
  • 82% of all workers feel that individuals and families value their work
  • Over 90% would recommend working for Identitywa to other people

Identitywa is one of WA’s leading agencies supporting people with disability to live the life they choose.  With a strong commitment to Person Centred Active Support, staff work in partnership with individuals to explore, plan and design support options to suit their individual needs.
