26th International Day of People with Disability marked by WA community
Empowering people with disability for an inclusive, equitable and sustainable society as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is the theme for the 2018 International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD).
For the second year, Identitywa has sponsored the IDPWD lunch hosted by NDS WA for people with disability, their families and staff.
“This special day, which is mandated by the United Nations and celebrated across the world, provides us with the unique chance to come together to acknowledge the valuable contributions, skills, and achievements of people with disability, “said Identitywa CEO, Marina Re.
“We are delighted to be joining over 500 people at the event as we mark the day which focusses on increasing public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.
