Zhiqing loves her short breaks at Identitywa’s Children’s House
For the family of 9-year-old, Zhiqing, being able to access the respite services at Identitywa’s Children’s House in Riverton is a very important both her and her family.
Zhiqing has been having short stays at the house since 2018 and by all accounts is always happy to be there.
“I like the services provided by Identitywa’s Children’s House,” said her Mum, Lizzy.
“The staff at the house are friendly and well trained in caring for children and they communicate regularly with me to make sure they can accommodate our family’s needs.
“I have full confidence that she is well taken care of and we love that she is developing here independent living skills outside our home.
“Her time there also gives us a well-deserved break to recharge, which we are grateful to have”.
House Senior, Danica, says that Zhiqing always enjoys coming and playing with the other children.
“They really love having her there here too,” said Danica. “Some of her favourite things to do when she is with us is to spend time in the kitchen helping out and she also loves reading books.
“She really is a delight!” said Danica.
