Identitywa has been asked to share information about research being conducted by Wendy Simpson at Edith Cowan University. Wendy is keen to recruit participants for a PhD study inquiring into family relationships and service needs of adults who have a brother or sister with a disability.

Wendy is committed to advancing the rights and needs of ALL family members with lived experience of intellectual disability, autism and/or other lifelong disabling conditions.

The more people Wendy can recruit for her PhD research, the more reliable her findings will be and the more potent her recommendations in advancing this cause.

The full title of research is: Adult siblings of people with disability: Exploring the complex system of relationships that contribute to positive life span outcomes.

The first part of the study is based on an anonymous, on-line survey which takes about 20 minutes to complete.

There is a provision on the survey form for participants to record their contact details if they would also be prepared to participate in a more, in-depth, personal interview.
