Expo provides great opportunity to connect with School Leavers
The chance to participate at the Abilities Careers Expo held at the Crown Entertainment Complex in September provided a valuable opportunity for staff to promote the high quality services available from Identitywa for school leavers.
This was the first time that Identitywa has hosted a booth at the Expo which is focused on providing advice and information about employment and supports available to the 2015 cohort of Year 12s with disability.
Planning Officers, Denise Marley, Kristina Kotua and Lee Zwicki were very excited about the level of interest the Identitywa booth received.
“We were delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of such a positive experience,” said Denise.
“Identitywa can offer support for individual supported learning, recreation and community connection opportunities.
“Our services are specifically tailored to achieve the goals of the individual with the aim of ultimately enhancing their relationships, skills and networks,” explains Denise.
“We were overwhelmed by the response to our booth and will definitely consider being involved in these types of forums in the future. Not only are they educational but they are also fun!”
