Families supported by Identitywa benefit from CBA staff’s generosity
Identitywa, one of WA’s leading agencies supporting people with disability and their families, was the grateful recipient of a generous grant from the Riverton branch of the Commonwealth Bank (CBA) in July.
Established in 1977 by the Catholic Archbishop of Perth, Identitywa, works in partnership with people with disability and their families to build a community where they can enjoy a fulfilled life.
Identitywa CEO, Marina Re, said she was delighted that Identitywa had been successful in their application which will fund the purchase of four ‘Kangaroo Pumps’ (enteral feeding pumps) for children who are currently being accommodated, or receiving respite, in one of Identitywa’s homes located in Perth.
“It is our ongoing commitment to the individuals and families we support to offer the best level of care we can. To also have community support and recognition for what we do is wonderful,” said Ms Re.
“We are very grateful to the staff who contribute to the CommBank Staff Community Fund and to the Commonwealth Bank who matches the fund dollar-for-dollar.
Miss Belinda Kyle, Manager of the CBA’s Riverton branch presented the grant to staff and children at a special gathering held at one of the residences.
“It makes me very proud that the Bank has given me the opportunity to show our support of such a wonderful organisation via our community grant program. It gives us as members of this community a chance to thank you for all that you do to provide important opportunities for people with disability and their families,” said Miss Kyle.
