A celebratory morning tea was hosted for Identitywa staff who recently received their Certificate III and Certificate IV in Disability studies.

The opportunity to undertake the course whilst working at Identitywa was an initiative of the Identitywa Board.  In addition to working with Identitywa, some of their training was completed at disability support providers, Rocky Bay and Activ.

CEO, Marina Re, was delighted to present the certificates to staff.

“We are very selective with regard to who we chose to support through this course,” said Marina.

“All staff are interviewed and it is critical that they share the Identitywa Vision, Mission and Values.

“We understand that staff may not stay with us, however, we believe by enabling them to undertake further education that we are contributing to the disability sector which we believe is an important investment in the future.”

Well done to Angela for organising this acknowledgement along with morning tea. It was a great morning especially for those who missed out on the Official Presentation. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us and a special thank you to Marina for your words of wisdom and Kathy and Sam (Rocky Bay tutors) for supporting us throughout the year! I am totally looking forward to my future journey with Identity!
