Identitywa hosts booth at the 2017 Abilities Careers Expo
Once again, the annual Abilities Careers Expo coordinated by the Department of Communities, Disability Services, provided an invaluable opportunity for Western Australian school leavers to consider their post school options.
Idenitywa was there to assist them, hosting an Information Booth where staff were able to share the latest information across the disability sector and offer guidance about employment and supports available to the 2017 cohort of Year 12s with disability.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of this important event,” said Identitywa Planning Officer, Lee Zwickl.
“It was fantastic to see the level of interest our booth received and the potential of being able to connect the Year 12s with positive experiences.
“Our services are specifically tailored to achieve the goals of individuals with the aim of ultimately enhancing their relationships, skills and networks,” explains Lee.
“We can offer support for individual supported learning, recreation and community connection opportunities.
“The event well attended by students, teachers and support workers. We are looking forward to following up the many enquiries we have received!” said Lee.
