For 11- year-old, Sebastian, a visit to a park with his Identitywa Support Worker
opens up a world of adventure and fun.  He is fascinated by the other children and all the activity which really shows as he smiles the whole time he is there!

Sebastian has regularly stayed overnight at Identitywa’s Children’s House in Nollamara since 2014.  His time at the house gives his family an important break and provides him with the chance to mix with other adults and children.

Identitywa is one of Western Australia’s leading agencies supporting people with disability and their families.  There are a range of supports offered including the chance for families to have a break by accessing support at their children and adult houses.

Sebastian’s mum, Chantal, says she is very grateful to have Identitywa’s support as Sebastian really benefits from his time at the house.

“He has really changed a lot,” said Chantal.  “He is more confident now to interact with other children and has been able to build his trust in the staff at the house.

“He loves to play in the back yard and a particular favourite thing he likes to do is play in the ball pit.

“The support our family has received from the staff is fantastic,” says Chantal.

“They are all so friendly and willing to help.  The House Senior, Danni, is amazing with Sebastian and she goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome.  Nothing is too hard for her!”
