Partnership Prospects
Board Members from Therapy Focus and Identitywa came together in April to consider ways the two organisation might work together.
Both organisations are committed to supporting people with disability, but as Identitywa Board Chair, Graeme Mander explained, the supports provided by each organisation are complementary. “Therapy Focus provides professional therapy services while Identitywa delivers accommodation, respite and family support.”
“In exploring ways we might work together, the aim would be to deliver more holistic support to people.”
Therapy Focus Board Chair, Peter Mildenhall agreed that “By considering ways to collaborate, we are likely to increase choice for our clients.”
“This is going to be particularly important with the adoption of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in WA and the move to individualised funding. Organisations will need to respond with more comprehensive solutions for people who want their full support needs met,” he added.
