Reaching a milestone or achieving a personal goal always provides Simon with a chance to celebrate…and he loves to celebrate!
Simon latest milestone was marking 10 years of living in an Identitywa shared home.
At an afternoon tea hosted at Identitywa’s Cockburn Office, Simon’s family, housemates and Identitywa staff, gathered for a special presentation by CEO, Marina Re.
He was all smiles when he received his personalised certificate recognising his 10th anniversary of independent living.
“Simon was the one who suggested we come together to mark this significant milestone,” said Marina.
“It is really special to be able to contribute so positively to Simon’s busy life.
“I would like to acknowledge and thank all those staff who support Simon.”
In his speech, Simon thanked everyone for joining him at the celebration.
His mother, Maria, said Simon regularly visits the family home which is close by to where Simon lives.
“We always go to Mass at St Patrick’s Church in Fremantle on Sunday. We then spend time with the family,” said Maria.
“Simon looks forward to returning to his home, which makes me very happy.”
