True spirit of Christmas celebrated by Identitywa and Personal Advocacy Service
There were plenty of smiles all around as the Identitywa and PAS communities came together on what was a hot, sultry Saturday, for their annual end of year Eucharistic Celebration on Saturday 9 December.
Heralded by a big clap of thunder which definitely got everyone’s attention, the Mass was led by Fr Nino Vinciguerra and included bringing the Word to life through movements by representatives from PAS and also contributions from the people Identitywa supports.
“It really was a wonderful way to finish off the year with prayer, beautiful music, lots of colour and joy,” said Identitywa CEO, Marina Re.
“We truly appreciate the chance to share this occasion which has become an annual event on our calendars.”
Following the Mass, the festivities continued with over 380 people enjoying a delicious shared meal served in the college gymnasium which was transformed for the Christmas event by Identitywa staff.
“We are very grateful to Julie Hornby, Principal of Mercy College, for allowing us to use the college’s facilities which proved to be perfect for this year’s celebration,” said Ms Re.
